Editorial Policy
Purpose and Independence
Bouncer Lab provides research‑driven, small‑home‑focused reviews and guides. Editorial decisions are made by our team without interference from advertisers, retailers, or affiliate partners. Our recommendations are based on testing and clear criteria—not on commissions.
Product Selection
We choose products based on safety track record, availability, reader requests, innovation, and relevance to small spaces and travel. We verify current models/versions before testing and note discontinuations.
Testing and Verification
All reviews reference our Home Fit rubric (footprint, noise level, cleanability, adjustability, lifespan value). We perform hands‑on checks for labels, weight limits, harness integrity, and stability, and we monitor recalls. When appropriate, a pediatric physical therapy consultant reviews ergonomic guidance; we do not provide medical advice.
Sourcing and Samples
We prefer to purchase products at retail. When manufacturers send samples, acceptance does not guarantee coverage or a positive review. We disclose samples and apply identical testing. Samples may be returned, donated, or retained for long‑term testing at our discretion.
Affiliates and Revenue
Some outbound links are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our scores, rankings, or conclusions. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labeled as such.
Accuracy, Corrections, and Updates
We fact‑check specifications and safety guidance against manufacturer documentation and relevant standards. If we make an error, we correct it promptly and add a note with the date and nature of the correction. Reviews are revisited when products change, after long‑term testing, or when new safety information emerges.
Conflicts of Interest
Editors and contributors must disclose any personal, financial, or familial relationships that could bias coverage. Individuals with conflicts do not participate in related assignments.
Citations and Sources
We cite primary sources (manufacturer manuals, standards bodies, recall notices) and link to them where possible. We avoid anonymous or unverified claims.
Images, Audio, and Measurements
We prefer our own photography and measurements. When using manufacturer images, we label them accordingly. Noise and timing data reflect our test conditions, which we describe in our methods.
Privacy and Minors
Our content targets adults caring for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. See our Privacy Policy for data practices.
Community and Feedback
We welcome expert and reader feedback. Send corrections or concerns to [email protected]. Substantive feedback that changes our conclusions will be acknowledged in updates.
Medical and Safety Disclaimer
Content is for educational purposes and does not replace professional medical advice. Always follow manufacturer instructions and discontinue use if a product is damaged, recalled, or used outside labeled limits.
